About & Information

Not Available:

Throughout the site, you may encounter fields marked as "Not Available." This indicates that the requested information could not be retrieved.

This can occur for several reasons, such as a lack of browser support for a specific feature or because no data is available for that particular query. For instance, a mobile device might show "Touch Screen" as not available if the browser does not report multi-touch capabilities, even though the device has a touch screen. A "Not Available" status does not necessarily mean a feature is absent, but rather that it cannot be reported by your browser.

Technologies:

GeoLite Database: We utilize the GeoLite database from MaxMind for ASN, Country, and Continent information. This data is used as a fallback to ensure comprehensive IP details.

ip2country: We utilize our internal ip2country service as our primary source for IP details, including Country, Continent, and ASN information, presented in the IPv4 and IPv6 sections.

Flag Icons: We use this CSS library to display your country's flag for quick and easy visual identification.

Blackbox: We leverage our Blackbox service, in conjunction with other tools, to determine the likelihood that an IP address is a proxy.

OpenStreetMap: We use OpenStreetMap to display an interactive map of your approximate geolocation. The map loads directly in your browser — no data is sent to our servers, and your coordinates are never shared with OpenStreetMap until the map tile is rendered locally.

ua-parser-js: We use ua-parser-js to parse your browser's User-Agent string, allowing us to provide details about your operating system and browser.

JQuery: This powerful JavaScript library provides a versatile toolkit that helps us build and implement many of the interactive features on this site.

Bootstrap: We use the Bootstrap framework to create a clean and responsive design, allowing us to focus more on development and functionality.

Data Validity:

To provide a faster and more reliable service, we cache many of the data points we provide. Caching reduces the number of queries to third-party providers, ensuring our service remains available to more users. Data caches may persist for up to 30 days.

The map displayed on the main page is an OpenStreetMap embed that loads directly in your browser. No coordinates are sent to our servers for map rendering. The map uses your approximate geolocation, rounded to the nearest hundredth of a degree — a deliberate inaccuracy of approximately 1.11 km. You can learn more about this here.

We only store minimal information from your request, which includes standard web server logs and data caches (VPN likelihood, IP details, and Whois info). No other personally identifiable information is stored on our systems.
